In D&D news, Greg and Shelly go behind the scenes on all of our upcoming releases! Later, we’ve got another edition of How To DM as Shelly is joined by Jeremy Cobb, co-host of the podcast Three Black Halflings....
In a previous installment of Unearthed Arcana, we presented a new character class: the artificer, a master of magical invention. Based on the feedback we received, we now offer a new look at this class. We invite you to give this new version of the artificer a read, try it out in play, and let us know what you think. Later this month, a survey will appear on the D&D website. Please let us know in that survey what you think of today’s Unearthed Arcana.
A Note on UA Scheduling
We typically look to release Unearthed Arcana once a month. The series remains a valuable opportunity for us to publish playtest content and gather your feedback. That said, we want to release Unearthed Arcana content only when it is ready for you to try. Moving forward, this content will release on a more flexible schedule, roughly once a month and on whatever day works best that month. We’ll let you know when the next UA installment is ready! (There’s a good chance it will contain more content for the artificer.)
This Is Playtest Content
The material in Unearthed Arcana is presented for playtesting and to spark your imagination. These game mechanics are in draft form, usable in your D&D campaign but not refined by final game design. They are not officially part of the game. For these reasons, material in this column is not legal in D&D Adventurers League events.
